The strength of her construction was well tested and proven having completed the infamous 1979 Fastnet Race with no damage. Then again in 1981 with a rough Atlantic crossing from England via the Bay Of Biscayne, the Azores, Bahamas, and on to New Orleans – with no problems or damage.
