It’s no secret that the pandemic has caused a major uptick in boat sales and there is little-to-no inventory anywhere. Come take a look and make an offer before she’s gone too.

Change in plans (due to Covid) makes the owners of this boat reluctantly put her up on the market 1 year after purchasing it in March of 2020.

This is a 3 cabin, 3 head vessel with a down galley.

The main salon is bright and airy with plenty of opening doors and windows for expansive views & ventilation, and ample seating throughout to enjoy the high-end entertainment system.

It has upper & lower helms, huge flybridge with tons of seating, complete flybridge enclosure (new), electric dinghy davit, 12’ Rendova RIB on upper deck with 40hp Mercury outboard (brand new pontoons), and an enclosed aft deck with a wet bar and new under-counter fridges and one of the nicest Covid home-gyms/ yoga studios you’ll see!

The boat has full-size appliances in galley, and a full size stackable washer/dryer. Under the galley is the generator room with lots of storage.

Down a few spiral stairs from the salon, and forward of the galley, is the over/under bunk-bed stateroom/crew quarters with its own ensuite head with separate stall shower.

Walking aft from the galley, past the washer/dryer, the VIP stateroom with twin matching beds is located amidship to starboard with guest head opposite to port.

Further aft, through the hallway with split engine rooms, is the master stateroom with a custom-made island queen bed, ample storage, a huge cedar-lined walk-in closet and a large ensuite head with tub shower.

Boat is powered by two Detroit 8v92TA Turbo Diesels with 4400 hours. Engines start right up, sound and run great.

Both gensets also start, sound and run great.

Onan 20kw genset in sound shield (4885 hours)

Kohler 8kw genset (1333 hours)

The owner bought this boat a year ago in March of 2020 so that he and his wife could live on it for a couple years until his impending retirement from a large, well known LA-based company.

It was previously owned by an older couple who had purchased the vessel about 25 years ago in Florida and shipped it to Marina del Rey where it has been docked for over two decades. When the owner died in Dec. of 2019, the wife put the boat on the market, sold the boat and moved out of state.

Current owners are dear friends of mine and long-time boaters and have owned many boats and have even lived aboard at times on some of them throughout the years. They live in Boise, Idaho but his work is here LA. All the commuting wih the weekly flights back and forth took their toll so they decided living aboard a boat in LA would be a better option till his retirement.

Unfortunately, just as they bought the boat, the COVID pandemic hit, altering their plans, and when businesses shut down and the stay-at-home orders were given, they were forced to stay in Boise and work from home.

Now a full year has gone by since their purchase and sadly they have only been to the boat for a total of a couple short weeks.

So they’ve decided that it’s better to just sell the boat for now and downsize.

While they were away last year, and in hopes of returning soon, the boat was taken to the Boatyard to get much needed bottom work done.

(June 2020):

New bottom paint

New cutlass bearings

New shaft seals

New rudder glands

All new underwater thru-hulls

All new ball valves for each thru-hull

All new sea strainers, including main engines and gensets.

After spending nearly a month at the Boatyard, the yard bill alone for all this work came out to $40,000.

The hull was also buffed and waxed while it was out of the water, and the bottom side of the swimstep and the support brackets were repainted at this time as well. ($5000)

Due to the unprecedented Covid pandemic, the owners have been stuck in Boise and have spent very little time aboard on their new boat, thus not being able to get to or complete many of their planned projects.

Some of the other notable upgrades include:

– New flybridge enclosure (bimini top and isinglass panels) ($5000)

– New pontoons for the center console RIB ($4500)

– New mattresses in the VIP stateroom (2) and new custom made mattress in the Master stateroom. ($5000)

– New (2) under counter fridges at aft deck wet bar ($1000)

– New LG 4k LED HDTV (65” in main salon) with LG Soundbar and subwoofer ($1500)

– New LG LED HDTV (43” in aft deck/gym) with Insignia Soundbar and subwoofer ($500)

– New LG 4k LED HDTV (49” in master stateroom) with Polk Soundbar and subwoofer ($700)

– Samsung LED HDTV (32” in fwd stateroom) with Vizio Soundbar and subwoofer

– *Home gym (negotiable)
